Physiogram 14

Description

How I created the physiogram:

In a dark room, I put a camera on a tripod, facing straight up, but as low to the ground as possible. Suspended above the camera on a ceiling was a single source of light (such as a laserpen, a mini-flashlight, or a single Christmas tree light bulb). Swing the object of light and take an exposure for as long as you want, or until it stops moving altogether. Have fun experimenting with different ways of pushing the light source, and different exposure times and different light sources.

fantastic! are these sandwiched negatives? i really like the combination of thin-lined regular proportions of change in relation to the flat liquid feel of the light areas. i especially like the top center area: where the 'liquid' part curves up to allow a cleaar exposition of the lines, and then how just to the right the 'liquid' part sort of fades as it moves downward, revealing the lines more and more as it does so. it gives the impression that the lines are behind the 'liquid' part of the left side but then pop out in front on the right side. excellent job with this one: a favorite!
